Device | Connection Info

This tab on the Device page is used to view information on the connectivity technology that the device is using to communicate with the Ayla Cloud. You cannot edit the fields on tab. Following are the fields:

Connectivity Type - The type of connectivity used by the device to connect to the Ayla platform, e.g. Wi-Fi, cellular, satellite, Ethernet, etc. A device can have multiple connectivity capabilities, but this field shows the one in use as reported to the platform. For example: Wi-Fi, LPWANLow-power wide area network, bluetooth, NFCNear Field Communication.
Cellular Technology - The service or feature provided in the device so that it can connect with other devices and systems (i.e. the Ayla platform). For example: NB-IoTNarrowBand-Internet of Things , Cat-1Category 1, an IoT modem type, Cat-M1Category-M1, an IoT modem type allowing heavier traffic without changing the network bandwidth., 4GFourth generation of broadband cellular network technology..

Network Operator - The wireless service provider used, such as AT&T, Verizon, China Telecom, Vodafone, etc.
IMSI -The International Mobile Subscriber Identity is a unique number (usually 15 digits) assigned to the mobile device. If you enabled the GDPRGeneral Data Protection Regulation privacy feature, a "*Private*" link displays in this field. You can click the link to obtain more information as long as you accept the terms in the message that displays.
Cellular Tower ID - This identification number tells you the location of the cellular tower (specifically the base transceiver station) in use by the device. If you enabled the GDPRGeneral Data Protection Regulation privacy feature, a "*Private*" link displays in this field. You can click the link to obtain more information as long as you accept the terms in the message that displays.
Signal Strength (RSSIRelative Received Signal Strength) - The relative received signal strength in the wireless environment (the higher the RSSI number the stronger the signal).
